Samar AbdelFattah comes from an Aerospace Engineering background and has been involved in mobility based projects for 5 years. She has been working on different vehicle engineering subsystems including Vehicle Structure, Ergonomics, Suspension, and even Engine performance and Vehicle Optimization. After her team received innovation award during the first SpaceX Hyperloop Competition in January, 2016, the team was scaled-up to have a team of 18 Engineers, Architects, and Civil Engineers to work not only on vehicle design but also stations and tubes. After publishing their first paper on Hyperloop Capsule Design using Linear Induction Motors in May, 2016 in Berlin, the team won the Judges Award in Dubai Build Earth Live Challenge for a connection between Dubai, Fujairah, and Al-Maktoum Airport.
Later that year, she partnered with Sypron Solution, Ministry of Military Production, and Cairo University to build the first single- passenger Hyperloop Capsule in the MENA to participate in SpaceX competition in 2017.
In cooperation with Sypron Solutions, launched the first Hyperloop Summer School in Dubai Future Foundation during the AI summer camp in 2018. They she published the Passenger- Centred Experience Design Research for Smart Mobility during Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport.
Inspired by Smart City vision and tech role in future sustainability, in 2019, she founded Disruptive Mobility Technologies (DM Tech) to focus on levitating and magnetic transportation solutions, smart mobility services along with educational programs in transportation.
